Many people suffer from the condition known as heartburn. This condition has also been called indigestion, acid indigestion, and acid reflux. Whatever you may call it, you know that it is painful and can have some terrible effects on your health. Many home remedies for heartburn have become known in recent years, and are a preferable treatment to those who do not want to be stuck on medication for years to come.

Heartburn is a condition that is generally thought to be caused by an over-production of acid in the stomach. If you suffer from heartburn as I do, I’m sure you already know of certain foods and beverages that can set it off for you. Some foods seem universal in this effect to heartburn sufferers, but others seem to affect only certain people in that way. Finding home remedies for heartburn can be an extensive process, especially seeing how the information is spread around and must be collected to be of any use.

In the next week or so, I plan to gather this information into a special report that will be made available to you, as a reader of my blog, for free! Just subscribe to my RSS feed or to my email list and I will update you on the report as soon as it is available.

Suffering from heartburn is painful, and causes many people to lose sleep or wake in the night when the pain is so bad. What can be done to prevent this pain? Well there are several home remedies for heartburn that have worked for me in the past, and I continue to use them when needed. I’m sure that if you are like me, you probably keep a bottle of antacids near your bedside as a backup plan, but probably don’t want to use them as often as you truly need them because of the sheer number of them you have to take.

Cucumber Slices - Home Remedies for Heartburn

My first choice as a home remedy for heartburn is to cut up a cucumber into slices, lightly sprinkled with sea salt, and eat the slices before bedtime. This has helped me many times in the past, and cucumbers are one of my favorite vegetables, so seems to be a win-win situation for me. Another one that I haven’t tried is carrot juice or whole carrots. Just like the cucumbers, you should eat them right before bedtime, which is when the heartburn can be the worst.

Stay tuned until next time, when I will bring you more home remedies for heartburn, and be sure to subscribe to get my special report which will bring together much of the information that you need to get rid of heartburn.

Great post! It’s entirely too easy to take a drug of some sort to quell indigestion and forget that there are natural ways to help this condition and the best part is that they can be found in your own home.

It’s really helpful to know that drugs aren’t the only way of dealing with many medical problems. Most of the drugs have so many side effects that we may not even realize. Thanks for visiting!
